You have basic language skills to cope with everyday situations. You can talk and write about familiar topics and everyday things, and understand texts on these subjects.

Your A2 German course at the German Institute takes place either at our school in the center of Stuttgart or online. We offer intensive and evening courses. We adhere to European standards for quality.

We offer an all-inclusive package. For example, you receive books free of charge. You can also participate in many German courses on grammar, pronunciation, conversation, and exams free of charge. Learn more about our concept now.

A2 Vocabulary

In your A2 German course, you will learn how to successfully master everyday situations in German. You will learn to name the things around you: What are the names of the foods in the supermarket? What are the names of the everyday items you use? In addition to your everyday working life, you will also learn how to deal with communicative situations in your free time. You will learn how to order in a restaurant, fill out forms, find your way around when traveling, and go to the post office. You will now be able to talk to your friends about topics such as family, activities, sports, events, and even the weather. If you are sick or have an accident, you will be able to describe your situation in simple German.

A2 Grammar

At level A2, you will deepen your knowledge of basic German grammar and learn to express yourself correctly and coherently in more and more everyday situations. You will expand your knowledge of sentence structure and practice forming longer sentences with connectors. You will also learn new tenses, especially the past tense of modal verbs and important verbs such as “sein” and “haben” You will work more intensively with the dative and accusative cases, learn to reliably distinguish between separable and inseparable verbs, and expand your vocabulary for typical everyday conversations. With this knowledge of grammar, you will be able to converse more freely, give simple descriptions, and communicate with increasing independence.

When you book a course, you will automatically receive access to our free grammar courses. These take place once a week and provide optimal support for your learning.

A2 Exam

Are you a student at German Institute and would like to take the A2 exam with us? Are you a student in an intensive course? Then you can take your exam free of charge and receive an official A2 certificate.

Are you a student in an evening course? Then you can take an exam for a small additional fee and receive an official A2 certificate.

We are also a telc examination center. Please contact us for information about the next exam date.
