ABOUT US
The German Institute language school sets the course for hundreds of young academics learning German in Stuttgart. German Institute offers a high level of instruction by focusing on courses for highly qualified professionals who feel unchallenged and out of place in integration courses and mixed-level courses. The high quality of instruction is ensured by a permanent teaching staff with university degrees in German Studies, relevant additional qualifications in German as a foreign language, and internal as well as external training opportunities. The institute stands for innovative, creative, and interactive teaching and aims to be a technological and didactic pioneer.

Guiding Principles
INDIVIDUAL
Our course participants receive support from qualified and trained course advisors. Based on the participants’ performance results, individual consultations take place. Learners receive additional materials and support tailored to their individual needs.
Consultation on everyday topics (e.g., visa, housing search, job search) and ongoing support ensure that the general conditions for learning success and the well-being of the learners are also met.
INTERACTIVE
Course participants are supported by a comprehensive course package. In addition to German lessons, each course participant receives free business courses, application training, intercultural training, conversation courses, and seminars at the museum. Through free additional offerings, both in-person and on the online platform, what is learned in class is actively applied. The blended learning format of the courses offers participants the opportunity to learn self-directed and creates space for more communication in face-to-face lessons. Videos, games, apps, learning nuggets, and social networks are just some of the tools that enable interactive, learner-centered instruction.
INNOVATIVE
Teachers at German Institute are not lone wolves. The teaching material created by senior trainers is available to the entire team and is continuously supplemented throughout the course. The trainer team also constantly exchanges ideas on innovative teaching methods via an online platform and weekly meetings. Newcomers to the profession are trained by experienced mentors and a trainee program.
