You can understand the main points when clear, standard language is used and when it concerns familiar matters from work, school, leisure, etc. You can talk about experiences, describe goals, and give brief reasons for plans.

Your B1 German course at the German Institute takes place either at our school in the center of Stuttgart or online. We offer intensive and evening courses. We adhere to European standards for quality.

We offer an all-inclusive package. For example, you receive books free of charge. You can also participate in many German courses on grammar, pronunciation, conversation, and exams free of charge. Learn more about our concept now.

B1 Vocabulary

In the B1 German course, you will be prepared for situations in everyday working life, among other things. You will be able to handle telephone conversations well and write emails and business letters. You will write your first job application in German, including everything that goes with it: cover letter, resume, and attachments. You will also be able to handle a job interview in simple German.

B1 Grammar

In your B1 German course at German Institute, you will learn how to deal with most situations (e.g., when traveling). You will also learn how to express yourself orally and in writing about your areas of interest. That is why you will also learn grammatical structures that are important for written expression, such as relative clauses, the genitive case, double connectors, the subjunctive II, and the passive voice.

When you book a course, you will automatically receive access to our free grammar courses. These take place once a week and provide optimal support for your learning.

B1 Exam

Are you a student at German Institute and would like to take the B1 exam with us? Are you a student in an intensive course? Then you can take your exam free of charge and receive an official B1 certificate.

Are you a student in an evening course? Then you can take an exam for a small additional fee and receive an official B1 certificate.
